Kindy is free for all eligible-aged Queensland children.
We want every child to have a strong start to their education, that's why the Queensland Government is making kindy free.
For 4-year-olds
Children aged at least 4 years of age by 30 June in the year before they attend Prep.
Attending an approved kindy
A government-approved educational program offering free kindy in sessional or long day care settings.
With a qualified kindy teacher
A kindergarten program is delivered by a qualified early childhood teacher
For 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year
Kindy is 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year and is FREE

In the years before school, kids develop rapidly. They learn about the world and how they are part of it. Our kindergarten supports children aged 3 ½ – 5 years and helps them develop this understanding.
Through play-based learning in our stimulating facility, children can build on their natural curiosity while developing their social and emotional skills, language and literacy, physical development and much more. With the guidance of our qualified teachers, your child will learn to think, problem-solve and work cooperatively – all excellent skills for school and life.

Evidence-based research shows that preschoolers learn best through play, so learning is woven into every experience they participate in, through both structured and unstructured learning. With play-based learning, every day includes consistent learning opportunities – and is fun at the same time.

Our programs are designed to balance all aspects of your child’s growth, including their social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. We provide children with age-appropriate skills in readiness for their journey into schooling.
Our Facilities
Our facilities are one of the main reasons parents enrol their children with us. We have an amazing indoor/ outdoor learning area that was freshly remodelled after Cyclone Marcia in 2015.
Bundara is set among the tree in Frenchville, North Rockhampton on over 2,000m² that the kids just love to explore. With the help of our community, we maintain and continually develop this area to be the best of its kind — our Kindy friends simply love it!
